MPI #   14      Stain, Exterior, Solvent Based, Solid Hide
A solvent based, oil (or oil/alkyd), pigmented stain for new, or previously stained, wood siding. Provides hiding, but allows grain texture to show. Application by brush, roller and air or airless spray. Can also be by commercial machine (i.e. ‘factory staining’).
[Gloss must be a maximum 10 units @ 60°. Other evaluated characteristics include consistency/viscosity, dry time, fineness of grind, resistance to biological growth, and accelerated weathering. See MPI 'Detailed Performance' Specs for complete details, specific requirements, and/or references.]
